Improved efficiency through online quoting

Situation

Our client is a resources sector organisation who needed to obtain multiple variations of quotes for each international trip. Due to their approval process they were required to present detailed itineraries and prices for each option. This meant that for some trips up to 15 quotes were actioned. This was time consuming and frustrating for both the client and QBT.

Action

Our online quoting tool was activated for this client and enabled them to:

• Produce as many quotes as they needed at no cost
• Email or print quotes themselves
• Hold the inventory to ensure it was still available once the travel was approved

Results

• A 30% reduction in processing time
• One travel arranger emailed to say: “The quoting tool is a lifesaver for me as I spend 50% of my day sending people quotes for salary sacrifice flights which I previously had to go through making a dummy booking to do!"
