The Role

Reporting to the Global Director of Corporate Sales QBT & APX and working collaboratively with the Account Management team, this role will see you implement agreed business strategies and programmes to identify emerging market opportunities and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status to maximise business sales growth and revenue for QBT.

Key Deliverables are as follows:

  • Management of an assigned territory, ensuring your portfolio sales for both new and existing customer initiatives are aligned with strategic business direction maximising the bottom line
  • Continually source, generate & secure new business in mid to large markets through relevant networking  
  • Prepare analysis that identifies gaps in new business generation
  • Ensure that new business is contracted with strategies to re-sign
  • Conduct agreed sales calls on pre-determined pattern
  • Effective management of portfolio sales division budget
  • Create innovative initiatives, which contribute to maintaining and growing commercial sales
  • Monitor, investigate and provide market intelligence on all competitor activity
  • Coordinate with Account Management team on the quarterly health checks on portfolios, working collaboratively to ensure active implementation of client relationships objective during sales operations including production of tenders and sales collaterals
  • Monitor, investigate and provide market intelligence on all competitor activity
  • Represent QBT with integrity at relevant industry functions, whilst identifying new opportunities to market QBT

Skills and Experience Required

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience within a similar role commensurate with 3-5 or more years (essential)
  • Ability to win
  • No stranger to extensive travel
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Significant leadership and strategic management experience coupled with experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of trends that affect the travel management industry
  • Excellent negotiation skills and high level business acumen
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Fares, ticketing and Amadeus GDS Knowledge (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to present and positively influence a target audience
  • An innovator, someone who constantly assesses what they do and how it can be done better
