The Role

Reporting to the Head of Account Management and working collaboratively with the Sales & Operations Teams, this role will see you act as a single point of contact for your customer portfolio proactively fostering ongoing business relationships and securing additional business opportunities from existing customers to meet agreed QBT business growth and revenue. You will create strategies to deliver on customer outcomes, design ‘best in market’ travel programs and build trusting relationships through your credibility and integrity.

Key Deliverables are as follows:

  • Manage the relationship and profitability for both new and existing clients, working effectively to identify new products and growth opportunities
  • Implementation of strategies for retention, whilst supporting the expansion of QBT’s products and services
  • Work with Sales managers to prepare strategic business plans for each account within your nominated portfolio
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
  • Monitor, investigate and provide market intelligence on all competitor activity and analyse customer’s usage of product to develop and implement an ongoing customer management strategy of existing customers within portfolio through organic growth
  • Prepare and deliver strategic account reviews
  • Coordinate quarterly portfolio health checks for leadership group, working collaboratively to ensure active implementation of client relationships, achieve share of wallet and client profitability
  • Represent QBT with integrity at relevant industry functions, whilst identifying new opportunities to market QBT

Skills and Experience Required

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience within a similar role commensurate with 3-5 or more years (essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of trends that affect the travel management industry
  • Excellent negotiation skills and high level business acumen
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Fares, ticketing and Amadeus GDS knowledge (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to present and positively influence a target audience
  • An innovator, someone who constantly assesses what they do and how it can be done better
